Benchmarks · public category reports

The report exists whether or not anyone in the category pays for it.

Citino asks ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity the questions buyers actually ask in a category, every day, and stores the answers whole. Each category gets a public report: who gets named, in what order, and by how much — with a band on every number.

Each square is one brand measured; the white square is the category leader. Hover a category.

Brands
Every brand named often enough in the category’s answers to hold a row. Not a curated shortlist.
History
Days of stored answers behind the page today. A category opened 48 days ago has 48 days. We do not backfill and we do not round up.
Answers / 30d
Full answers in the last 30 days across ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity. Claude is an add-on and is not in this count.
Leader
Highest 30-day visibility. It moves. The category page shows by how much, and whether the move is larger than its own error bar.
Why it is free to read

Citino measures categories, not customers.

$0.00marginal cost of one more subscriber in a category already running
Two consequences
01

The category report is already written. You can read it now, at the price of nothing, and decide whether the measurement is any good before you consider paying for it.

02

Adding a subscriber to a category that is already running costs $0.00 at the margin. Only custom prompts — the ones you write for your own segments — scale per customer.

Most tools in this space collect per customer. You sign up, you write your prompts, collection begins, and your first chart is empty for a month. The vendor's cost scales with every account, so nothing in a category is measured until somebody in it pays — which is also why those tools have no public category report to show you.

Citino runs one prompt set per category, every day, for the whole category. Crateline, Northport WMS, Palletworks, Shipmatic and Bindley Ops are measured in Warehouse Management Software · US because they are in that category, not because any of them is a customer. Tallyfold is measured on the same run, by the same prompts, against the same answers.

If a vendor cannot show you a category report, it is usually because there is nothing to show until you buy.

One page per category

Six things, in the same order, every time.

The league table, the questions behind it, and the pages the engines cite. Every category page carries the same six things in the same order, so a reader who has read one can read any of them.

Requests

Ask for a category and it usually opens in five to ten business days.

Six categories is where the index starts, not where it stops. Name the category and the region and we build the prompt set for it. Most open in 5–10 business days — the work is choosing the questions and confirming the brand set is complete. We reply with the prompt set we drafted before we run it, so you can tell us the questions are wrong while that is still cheap.

This is a request form, not a gate. Nothing on this index is behind it, there is no account to create, and the address is used to answer you about this category and nothing else.

A category needs enough brands to be worth a table. Freight Audit Software · US has six, which is why it is collecting but not publishing — six brands and 402 answers is a list, not a distribution.

A new category starts with zero days of history and the page says zero. It fills from the day it opens, at one run per day. We will not pretend a category is older than it is.

No account. No gate.
Scope

Index prompts are public; your own prompts never leave your account.

Published on every category page
✓The category’s index prompts and the results measured from them.
✓Visibility, confidence band, average position and 30-day change, per brand.
✓The sources the engines cited, and how often.
✓The prompt-set version, the last run time, and the cadence.
Never published, on any page, for any category
×Any custom prompt written by a customer. Custom prompts are private to the account that wrote them and are not part of the index.
×Any result derived from a customer’s custom prompts.
×Anything identifying a customer: who they are, which brand they claimed, which category they bought, or that a category has a subscriber at all.

Brands shown in these tables have no relationship with Citino and have not endorsed it. If you represent one and something here is wrong, the correction path is on every category page, and we publish what changed.

Read the category first, then decide whether to claim it.

Read the methodology →

Pick your category above and read the report. It costs nothing and it is the same measurement a subscriber sees. If it is any good, the next step is claiming your brand in it — that is when your own GA4 traffic, your custom prompts and your experiments join the picture.

Most categories already have months of history collected, so your first chart is populated on day one. Ten design-partner places are open — Growth free for 90 days.
