Disclosure. Citino, which publishes this guide, makes an AI visibility tool; it is listed last. Facts about every product come from its own pricing, product or documentation pages, checked on 19 October 2026.
What Peec AI does well
Peec AI, based in Berlin, says more than 3,500 brands and agencies use it. It is popular for good reasons:
- Clean core metrics: visibility, position, sentiment and share of voice, with sources and competitors.
- Unlimited users on every plan, and prompts that can be shared across projects.
- Useful extras: agent analytics from server logs, a Looker Studio connector, and an Impact view that marks when an action was done so you can see before and after.
- Clear pricing: Starter $95/mo (50 prompts), Pro $245/mo (150), Advanced $495/mo (350), each with daily tracking.
If those fit, Peec is a sensible choice. The rest of this guide is for when they do not.
Why teams look for an alternative
From Peec’s own pricing and documentation, the trade-offs that most often prompt a switch:
- Three engines per plan. Every plan includes three models you choose; Perplexity and others are add-ons, and Claude is on Enterprise.
- Price per answer. Adding engines adds cost, so tracking five engines costs more than the headline price.
- No margin of error. Numbers are shown without a range, so small moves are hard to read.
- Before and after, not a verdict. Impact marks when work was done; it does not test the change against competitors or noise.
- Collection method. Peec says it uses UI scraping as a logged-out user. That is the norm in the category, but some teams prefer tools that also use APIs.

Scrunch
Best for: mid-market and enterprise teams who want every major engine on every plan.
Scrunch includes ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, Google AI Mode, AI Overviews and Meta on all plans. Starter is $300/mo ($250 annual) with 350 custom prompts and 3 users; Growth is $500/mo with 700 prompts. It also offers an Agent Experience Platform that serves AI-optimised pages to AI bots. Scrunch is now part of Sitecore. Note that new prompts run daily for 14 days, then every 72 hours by default.
Otterly.AI
Best for: small teams and agencies on a budget.
Lite is $29/mo (15 prompts), Standard $189/mo (100 prompts), Premium $489/mo (400 prompts), with unlimited brands and seats. ChatGPT, AI Overviews, Perplexity and Copilot are included; Gemini, AI Mode and Claude are add-ons, so check the total if you need them.
LLMrefs
Best for: teams who want many engines for a low flat price.
A single $79/mo plan lists 500 prompts, unlimited projects and seats, and up to 10 engines with no extra fees, updated at least weekly. Its pricing page and FAQ disagree on the prompt allowance, so confirm it in a trial.
ZipTie
Best for: SEO teams who want to tune volume and frequency.
A configurator priced by prompt slots and engines, from $42.75/mo, with 7 engines on paid plans, an Action Center that ranks gaps, and seats and projects not billed.
Profound
Best for: large enterprises.
Profound tracks up to 9 engines on Enterprise and adds AI Marketer agents and Prompt Volumes, built from licensed consumer panel data. There is a free 7-day trial; Enterprise pricing is custom. See Profound alternatives if it is out of budget.
AthenaHQ and Goodie
Best for: teams who want the tool to help do the work.
AthenaHQ has a free plan and a $295/mo Starter with 3,600 credits (one per answer) across 11 engines, plus a content optimisation agent. Goodie’s Core plan is $295/mo (110 prompts, 5 engines) with agents for content, technical fixes and outreach.
Evertune
Best for: large advertisers who care about sampling.
Evertune publishes how its margin of error shrinks with more asks of each prompt, and combines API access with the consumer apps. Starter is $60/mo billed annually.
Citino
Citino is ours, so weigh this accordingly.
Citino includes three engines on every plan, ChatGPT, Google AI Overviews and Perplexity, the same number as Peec’s plans, at a lower price per prompt: $1.78 at 50 prompts against Peec’s $1.90. Peec lets you choose your three and sells Perplexity as an add-on; Citino includes it. Gemini, Google AI Mode and Claude are Citino add-ons. Every number carries a 95% margin of error bootstrapped over prompts, and every fix gets a verdict: Citino waits until an engine has read the changed page, subtracts the median change of your competitors, and reports Confirmed, Negative or Inconclusive. Pricing is by prompts only: $89/mo for 50 prompts, $219/mo for 150 and $429/mo for 350, with unlimited brands and seats.
Its limits: no Copilot, Naver, DeepSeek or Meta AI yet, no prompt-volume database, and it is newer than Peec.
How to decide
Write down the engines you need and convert each plan to answers per month (prompts × engines × runs), then compare price per answer. Then ask each vendor the two questions most dashboards skip: what is the margin of error on this number, and how would I know a change worked? The full checklist is in how to choose an AI visibility tool.
